About Duminda Auto Electronics.
At Duminda Auto Electronics, we bring engineering knowledge and practical workshop experience to vehicle electronics in Kundasale. We start by understanding the fault, then work out a practical repair or parts option for your vehicle.

Specialist electronics, from diagnosis to the right part.
We diagnose and repair vehicle electronics, carry out Hybrid EFI tune-ups, and assess Hybrid, plug-in Hybrid and EV batteries for service, repair or replacement. We also work on ABS, airbag and SRS systems, keys and immobilisers, and vehicle-specific EV battery modification enquiries.
We can supply genuine automotive spare parts and electronic components where available for your vehicle. We identify what is needed before recommending a component.

Duminda Herath
Engineering experience behind every diagnosis.
I trained at the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute and developed my motor-vehicle engineering experience with the Institute of Automotive Engineering Sri Lanka. I bring that technical grounding into the workshop every day.
I participated in the 7th Student Formula SAE Competition of Japan in 2009 with the Institute of Automotive Engineering Sri Lanka. That experience sharpened the way I think about electronic systems, diagnosis and practical engineering solutions.
Today, I apply that approach at Duminda Auto Electronics across vehicle diagnostics, Hybrid and EV systems, and safety electronics. We look beyond a warning code, explain what we find, and recommend a repair or genuine component when it is needed.

Our Formula SAE journey.
These are part of my 2009 Formula SAE journey with the Sri Lankan student team: my participation certificate and a newspaper feature about the car and the people behind it.

I participated with the Institute of Automotive Engineering Sri Lanka in the 7th Student Formula SAE Competition of Japan. The event took place in Shizuoka Prefecture from 9 to 12 September 2009, and this is my certificate from that experience.

A Sinhala newspaper feature from 17 September 2009 covered our Sri Lankan student Formula-style car and included a photograph of the team. I am proud to keep this reminder of the people and engineering work behind the project.
How we work
A clear diagnosis before a parts decision.
We trace the cause of a fault instead of simply clearing a warning code. We check the system around the symptom, explain what we find and confirm compatibility before fitting or sourcing components.
In the community
Serving Kundasale beyond the workshop.
Outside the workshop, I currently serve as President of Lions Club Kundasale. Community service is an important part of my commitment to the area we call home.
